Great challenge! It really makes you think. Perfect can be defined in so many ways. I definately want to enter, I’ll have to think about the perfect Ficlets.
Ha, this is like my third comment on this ficlet, whatever. But on the poking….ask O_M and The Master of Them That Know, we go beyond poking. It actually hurts. We’ll poke each other in the side (really hard!) and then laugh nonstop when we’re collapsed on the floor in pain (wince)

Yeah. I picture two friends, a guy and girl, who are so close. As friends. But one of them wants more. It kind of reminds me of the song Teardrops on my Guitar.
You really do deserve it. It really gave me chills. There’s so much question left behind it. This is an extraordinary ficlet that makes you want everybody to read it.
I agree with everybody, it’s so amazing. The ending makes you feel a little pang in your chest. You connected with the reader, I think everybody felt it.
This is interesting. But really, in my opinion, “skater” is not really “emo” but it stands by itself. In my school we have I guess (for lack of a better word) skater dudes, and they are nothing like the emo people. But still. I thought the jocks=jock strap (one word? maybe….I’m a girl, don’t need to know quite yet) was hilarious.
Ha! I can really picture this in a brochure with a little picture of some guy with eye liner caked on and a girl with a lollipop in her mouth with a book upside-down.
I think this something we all can relate to. You did a great job at connecting with the reader. And although I love the last line, I really love the, “I am broken.” I don’t really know why though.
This is so true. The poem tells about how we’re alike and different, how we’re under many different roofs, or none at all, yet we all share one thing. Diversity. 5 stars if it doesn’t show up, my computer’s kind of weird these days.
