this is so awesome… it was like exactly the kind of thing i was going to write but you did it so much better…. and i as well spend half day in school on computers (woohoo graphics major!) and then go to work on computers (woohoo graphics major!)... it is truly sad that I spend more time w/ a computer than anything else…
It does work when you consider that eventually Luke does temporarily turn to the dark side. This just kind of speeds up the whole process. Very nicely executed.
very depressing… I mean it’s a great summary of how things ended but I’m it’skind of unsettling… especially the way Izzy was left off… it’s just so un-Izzy…
sorry for the confusion… this is suppose to be in Izzy’s flat after the bad guys have threatened Renard… and Pierre has unintentionally run into Pablo thus knocking him over…
Ok so… Pablo is an ex-italian officer and possibly him and John are connected with the Brazilian Mafia… and John works for Pierre… Now why would Pierre draw the attention of a spy/mafiosa???
I love this new character… and no offense but Humphrey Bogart cannot be put in the same league as Jimmy Stewart. Although he was pretty awesome in “Sabrina”.
Interesting prequel… it’s nice to see how they got where they did… funny how his emotions jumped so much but I guess that’s pretty much the case when you are young… still can’t stand that her name is Delilah but that’s a personal thing… :)
It amazes me how an entire new generation has basically redefined the English language regarding spelling and grammar and yet everyone below a 25 year old age span understands it no questions asked…
I can’t help but smile at the bath references b/c I’m a shower kind of girl but my boyfriend can’t live w/out his baths… And I’m glad to know what piano man’s name is… :)
This really happened in the 40’s and 50’s in American public schools to Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was because of their stand that the Supreme Court passed laws protecting all citizens rights of freedom of worship.
Um… her parents were cool with her staying out all night being like only a sophomore or something… I had laxed parents and they didn’t even let me do that too often as an upperclassman.
aww… Sam seems sweet… and I can’t even count the number of times I’ve walked into walls or fallen on my butt in public… people started thinking I did on purpose to be funny in HS…
That’s really cool. I’m going to try this myself. And I agree with Mistress Elsha Hawk, I immediately thought of the sunscreen song. I even laughed out loud when you said “use sunscreen”.
You did a really awesome job but it hit a bad nerve with me. I’m sorry I’m just so tired of reading stories where the people with cancer always die. Most people who do get cancer end up dying but a lot don’t. Why do writer never tell that story? Going through hell and coming out the other side. I’m sorry for ranting. You did a beautiful job. It’s just this means a lot to me. People with cancer need hope… not more stories about death.
So here are the songs I used… Neon- John Mayer; Ohio- Bowling for Soup; Daughters- John Mayer; DOA- Foo Fighters; Wonderful- Everclear; Bright Lights- Matchbox 20; Anything- Plain White T’s; Emotionless- Good Charlotte; Smart in a Stupid Way- Steven Strait & Ashlee Simpson; Where Are You Now?- Michelle Branch; I Miss You- Blink-182; You Belong to Me- Jason Wade
Aww that’s really sad that you are leaving. I hope it’s not because of anything serious in your life. Hopefully we’ll here more from you someday in the future. Best wishes.
Interesting. Are you really scared of flying? My mom always told me growing up, “The family that flies together dies together.” Yes I know it’s morbid, but it was actually always kind of comforting.
Wow that’s such a cool way of leaving your mark on your high school. The only thing I ever did was paint a ceiling tile with the advise “Never hide yourself behind a mask of who others want you to be.”
Yeah, Future Pirate, it said in Uglies that it was a result of Biochemical warfare and lack of respect for the nature around us. I’ve read all of Scott Westerfeld’s stuff and I really like it, but sorry I don’t think I can commit myself to this challenge. Too overwhelming. :P
It’s so cool that what started as a simple poem I wrote one night 6 months ago led to this. Your absolutely right about us (as girls) living in the greatest time in history for women. Too bad I still hold myself back, b/c I’m too scared to pursue my passion and work in a greasy shop w/ a bunch of men.
Wow… this is really sad. But I was like someday_93… I thought it was about an ex-boyfriend b/c I said some of those things to one… it’s more said when it’s about your dad… I’m so sorry, I wish I could say something to cheer you up, but I don’t know how.
OMG!!! I didn’t comment on the last few b/c I was just to anxious to read what happened next. Please sequel SOON!!! And I completely forgot you turned 13 yesterday. Congratulations! Welcome to teenhood! (It’s not what it’s all cracked up to be). I still can’t believe what an awesome writer you are for your age. This is seriously like my new favorite thing to read… you’ve got me hooked.
Wow that seems very personal and honest. And if it’s true that true love only happens once then life sucks because I personally think that every love was true at one particular moment. Otherwise it would have just been attraction or lust and not love at all.
So I originally thought of Ibby crushing on Tate but I can see how an Ibby/Ells thing could work. I’ve really hit a wall with this one… not really sure how to proceed, so if you’d like to sequel it one time, one chance, then please do.
Oh yay! I definitely want to write for this one and I have an awesome vampire story sitting in my head. But it’s really long and I’m overwhelmed to start it. But maybe this will be a good nudge.
Aww… so sweet! I come from a mixed family. It was the best childhood ever. The swirl of cultures and traditions. Hope it turns out equally great for your characters.
Et never scared me but I dis have monsters under my bed and I’m still terrified of them. When I was little I refused to let my feet touch the floor of my room.
I like change too and hugs are a beautiful thing when you really mean them. But I don’t like to hug just anyone or everyone I meet. You have to be really special to deserve a hug b/c they mean so much.
Ok I’ll do the comments. I never really know what to say but I will definitely write something. As for the challenge, I think I’ll do the description one.
NEIA stands for the New England Institute of Art. It’s a college in Boston. For the protagonist it was a much more desirable choice than the local tech school in NH. This piece was just kind of an intro to the rest of the story. The main development of this story will be on the D train so I had to explain the whole commute thing first.
Yeah I was inspired to start writing this based on a secret I read on postsecret.com. It was about going back to an old house and asking the current owners if you could dig out the bullet from when grandma tried to shoot grandpa. So this was what I came up w/ but I don’t know where to go from here. So if anyone is inspired, please try to continue it.
Oh yay! Let’s talk about me in the third person… Mikeal Ann is a young aspiring writer who supports herself through freelance graphic designing. She’s mildly schizophrenic and severely manic. She fears her imminent death will result in a side impact car accident and currently entertains herself until that point, wasting hours online.
Check out Nouvelle Bardot and my series at http://ficlets.com/stories/20366.
Note me if you’d be interested in writing a series with me…
