  80. On Petition To Have John Perkins Legally Declared Awesome. Sign It Or Your Cat Will Get Fleas.:

    posted 3 months ago

I think JP is a homeless bum who lives on a dirty mattress in some hole where he has squirreled away a laptop with a wireless connection. And all he does all day is ficletting. That’s apart from sneaking to the internet café and begging for some coffee off a passing stranger or squeal at the owner because his connection is slow. It’s the only explanation I have for how he is able to read all stories, comment and write some of his own. All that’s definitely awesome! Thusly I’m signing this petition.

interesting concept, couple patrol. Well written.

  208. On Drs. Jekyll and Franenstein:

    posted 3 months ago

I think the title is missing a “k”. And the sentence “I have weird visions, I change in the night, but the full moons’ light,” needs some looking at. The “but” does not seem to fit.

  209. On Unit 753:

  217. On Baited Breath:

    posted 3 months ago

Good job in portraying the two bumbling grave robbers.

  218. On War Protests!:

    posted 3 months ago

The third paragraph does not follow the second nicely. Maybe that’s why I found the dialogue hard to follow. It’s good otherwise though.

  219. On Interruption:

Enthralling! The “curious glint in her green eyes” intrigues me.

  228. On Courtroom drama {Great Supporting Character Challenge}:

For those of you who don’t under stand the references to Monty Python or Asterix and Obelix or measures of alcohol, it’s high time you get “edumacated”. Your task for this weekend (or indeed the next month or so) is to:
    1) obtain any (or all) copies of Many Pythons movies and watch them one after the other.
    2) obtain as many copies as possible of Asterix and Obelix (they are available in English) and read them before you go to bed.

  229. On Graverobbers:

  235. On Ethan Jr.'s Night Out.:

    posted 3 months ago

Skeet, you are a master at dialogue. Maybe, just to make it a little more real it should be “He boke by dose”? Very funny!

  236. On Ethan Hangs with Melanie :

    posted 3 months ago

    Nice dialogue.

  237. On The VIP Lounge:

    posted 3 months ago

What tune was the cellphone playing?
What was the cocktail waitress wearing?
    What make of cigarette?
It’s these kind of descriptions that make the difference between a great story and an ok story. Keep going, you are getting better.

  238. On Club Sparkle:

    posted 3 months ago

The dialogue is just as I would imagine a VIP bouncer would talk to his “charge”. Good work there Sarah. (5 stars for this one)

  239. On Ready To Roll :

    posted 3 months ago

I agree with trifal, your story is rather flat, it does not have any similies, metaphors, adjectives, adverbs or even interesting colour names. Try writing about midnight blue, eggshell, crimson etc. It gives the pictures more depth and lets the reader imagine things better.

  240. On Eragrin Nirvana [civilization challenge]:

    posted 3 months ago

I like the picture you paint. Very regal.

  241. On Pyro punks and Sailor Emo's Juliet and Romeo:

    posted 3 months ago

  242. On Ready To Roll :

    posted 3 months ago

looks like you double submitted this one. Maybe just mark it as “draft” and you can revive and rewrite it later if you feel like it.

  243. On Night Out On The Town:

    posted 3 months ago

I agree with trifal, his reads very choppy and doesn’t flow nicely. I suggest you insert a couple of commas instead of fullstops.

  244. On The Rich and the Spoiled:

    posted 3 months ago

Nice one, Skeet, I think you nailed the spoilt rich-kid character.

  245. On Mr.Meirdar.:
