The ending of this prequel may or may not have something to do with the reason that gun is sent to the mailbox in the sequel. Was the ending of this one meant to foreshadow the reason the gun is in the mailbox? It lends new potential to the wife’s words at the end of the sequel: “Finally.” Love this stuff. Thanks to both of you. I’m background processing the next bit in my head.

I think this is the best of the sequels to Scalzi’s piece. Much more in character.
