I Have to say, I’ve never seen so many legendary figures portrayed in such a humorous, and strangely believable, way before reading this series. I wouldn’t be surprised that Holmes and Poe would have the exact same conversation if they could have met.
According to arthurian legend, the green Knight was famous for making Sir Gawaine look like a fool… and picking up his own severed head when Gawaine thought he’d killed him.
It is because he humbled one of the most famous courts of legend, the round table, that I have always been fascinated by his tale. Likewise, I have been known to plant myself in situations that lop off my proverbial thinker… multiple times.
