I have always had the impression that cats can see things that just aren’t in the human visual range.

Done and done—thanks, Ana. I think I just thought the X was prettier.

  3. On Experimental Ficlet #47:

Technically still one sentence as it’s just enumerating what’s on the paper?

    Bravo!

And I’ve always been quite partial to Redheaded Boy.

Although (as Krulltar says) slightly incongruous with the ultimate action, I really like the details in this piece. His memories make him a more intriguing character.

My kind of sentence! Really well done.

    Thanks, RainDance.

I was just thinking about how snakes and other animals can “see” in scent, and thought it could work with that.

I’m not even sure these folks (?) have eyes!

This ficlet has such a flavor to it! It makes me long to go back to Greece—one of my favorite places.

And what about bio-enhancements for robots?

  10. On DO NOT READ THIS!!!!!:

    posted 15 days ago

I like it! Ancient and dust-covered books always pique my curiosity.

  11. On The Lapin Tale:

Very clever. A bunny’s got to make a living, too, you know.

  12. On .357 - Remorse:

Gritty and heavy. I really liked it.

-Also nice to see a fellow Oklahoman on here (I’m from Tulsa, myself).

  13. On Morning's Ambivalence:

Thanks! No worries, the offending ficlet definitely wasn’t yours!

It was just a little nasty shock-seeker, I think, abhorrent both in quality and content.

After reading a really horrible story marked “Mature” I became interested in trying to provide an adult scene with emotional content and weight. What better than a post-coital morning?

I’m curious to see what people think of this one.

Great! “Collision sensors” was a nice touch. There’s just something about imagining robots in a noir detective style.

I see what you guys mean about the tongue wagging. I was just trying to go for complete pet-like regression. Maybe if it had been “slobbering?”

“And then I realize that it’s the night magic”

    Absolutely great work.

  18. On Hell of a Lease:

    Nice—it really made me laugh.

Forty years is such a long time… for a human.

  19. On Held Up at Customs:

Great! I think this manages to capture the generic anxiety people feel at customs.

  20. On A World Forgotten:

Marvelous and smart—removal of the frame of historical reference.

  21. On A Hunt:

I’m really impressed with all the throwaway science fiction details. Fascinating work!

Thanks. Yeah, just going for that old story of selling your soul to the devil for the gift of music.
