*Since you seemed impressed by the German language ficlet, I thought I’d bring your attention to the binary language one.

This is awesome. Binary, just in case you don’t know, is the most basic way of expressing one’s self: in 1s and 0s. Clearly in this case every letter is being replaced with a binary number, in a code (in this case, each binary number relating to an ASCII number). If you want a translation, you can cut and paste the code into this translator.

What’s really cool is that there are sequels to the story, also written in binary. This may keep you amused for a while.

    I’m mentioned twice in the article, but Cobweb’s the guy you should be name dropping: he started the Binary Buddha ficlet and has kept it going. It was a brilliant little piece of cypherpunk (or coderpunk) fiction.
