Here’s some news that makes all of us here at Ficlets Central pretty darn happy: Yesterday, we clocked in our 10,000th Ficlet. That’s 10,000 short short stories, 10,000 examples of people playing with the power of words, 10,000 ways that folks have shared the power of storytelling with each other and the world.
Did I mention we’re happy around here? Happy doesn’t actually cover it. Let’s face it, the idea behind Ficlets is pretty wild – that people will happily post mini-stories and let other people run with them, and play with other people’s ideas as well. We didn’t know if folks would play along. I think we have an answer that now.
So, for all of us on this end of Ficlets: Thank you! You’ve made being here tons of fun. I don’t have any doubt the next 10,000 Ficlets will be just as much fun as these have been. You guys rock.
Now: Back to writing! We’ve got a quota!
