A Couple of New Features

We just rolled out a couple new features! Hooray for new features! The first is one that has come in many many times since we launched, and well, we’ve finally gotten around to doing it!

What is it? Well, we finally have a page that lists all the prequels and sequels to your stories!! If you go to the homepage and you’re logged in, you’ll see a link to Prequels & Sequels. Click, and see all the prequel/sequel goodness. There’s also a feed of them, for those of you so-inclined.

Like everything else on the site, it’s semi-experimental. If you find problems with it, especially if stories are missing, please let us know either on this post or by sending feedback. It currently only shows the last 15, but we’ll get pagination in there so you can see all of them (at some point).

The other new feature is smaller, and no one’s requested it but me. You can now use entries from the ficlets blog as inspiration on your stories. John’s been writing some great stuff, and it’s about time we can really use it in stories, right? To test it out, I wrote one already.

There’s more new stuff on the way… stay tuned.

Awesome! Looks terrific. Can’t wait for pagination on the prequel/sequel page. The site keeps getting better!

    Oh the problems!

A couple of mine (“The Score” and “Old School”) are listed twice for no reason. “A Mouse of Learning” and “The Surgeon’s Chymical Discovery” are both listed, but the previous four stories in that cycle aren’t listed. And the entire “Long Neck” series doesn’t receive listing at all.

If there’s a way to reformat it as a branching tree, that would be MUCH easier to read, as well.
