Congrats to Kevin Lawver!

Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you’ll join me in putting your hands together for a big round of applause for Ficlets’ own Kevin Lawver, who is officially becoming an author in about two weeks, when the book he co-wrote, Adapting to Web Standards: CSS and Ajax for Big Sites hits the bookstores. This is very exciting stuff; it’s cool to have another published author in Ficlets family. And I’m sure that Kevin will accept your praise and congratulations with all humility, because that’s just the kind of guy he is. So, you know. Lay it on thick.

And also, clearly, if you’re working with CSS and Ajax, now you know what to ask for this holiday season.

    Who came up with the title for that book? Is it a mystery or a comedy?

    Thanks, everybody! The book is the story of a young man named CSS (I know, bad name, not my fault) who finds himself lost in the endlessly confusing and stressful world of Corporatania. This is the story of his survival, trials and ultimate victory over the evil overlord Table Layout.

    The overlord Table Layout, of course, has a sidekick, Sitemap. They are from the planet Gatesetti 3.

    Way to go Kevin! Now about fixing my page so it doesn’t say “Ouch that hurts, we’re sure it’s all our fault.” It says that every time it comes up… naw, kidding, itwas fixed yesterday… wEWT.
