Thank You, Ficlet Friends!

I’ve been busy with other stuff recently, and haven’t really been able to spend time really reading all of your work for a while. Boy, have I missed out! There are a lot of really good stories just begging for sequels and prequels. You’ve made this little site, that started just a couple months ago as an empty shell, into a place to find great stories. Launching anything is a risk, but ficlets is my baby, and I had no way of knowing what community would form around the site. I couldn’t be happier with what’s happened, the stories I’ve been seeing, and the increase in the number of comments that have been posted on stories.

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I’m inspired by the stories I’ve read the past couple of days, and can’t wait to see what you all come up with next (so inspired, I’ve even written a few of my own).

Now, what can I do for you? What do you want to see us do next with the site? We’ve got some fun stuff planned, a lot of it based on your feedback, some of it stuff I wanted to do for launch but ran out of time on, and some of it all new. When I get a little farther along, I’ll show off some previews (or hell, I may just launch it like we’ve done everything else).

I’d like to see the sequel/prequel graph of a ficlet. Maybe even use one axis to mark time

I thought a neat idea would be on our individual home page to show us our story rating average.

There could even be a separate section on Ficlets that lists authors by their average story rating.

Oh, I forgot to say thank you for the site and giving us a place to write and be read.

Yes, thanks for this great site. I would like a spell checker.
