Those Little Icons

We’ve gotten a lot of feedback recently about those new lightbulb icons that show up next to story titles in the lists. Here’s what they mean:

  • pic means that there’s an image associated with the ficlet.
  • words means that there’s a prequel, sequel, or was inspired by a link.

There may be others in the future, but that’s what they mean.

Some people have reported that stories are “losing” their associated photos. Augh! I’m out of town this week at a meeting of the CSS Working Group and that takes most of my brain power, but I will do my best to figure it out and fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks for clearing that up. Instead of the WORDS link, would you consider splitting it into three groups (Prequel, Sequel and Inspired)? I realize that means one story might have all three next to it, but… I think the clarity would be worth the clutter.

It is completely nonsensical when you first see it next to a story title. I looked through the help section to figure out what they were but I couldn’t find it there, so started digging through the blog. Could you perhaps add an explanation in help?
