Ficlets

If you hadn’t noticed the little black boxes around the site with “Ads will go here” in them before today, it’s too late! I just updated the following pages with ads:

• On the blog:
  • main page
  • individual entry pages
  • category pages
• Static pages (like Help and About Ficlets)

That’s it! Like I said in my comment on this entry, I’m commited to keeping ads off of your content. You guys work hard on your stories, and deserve to have them treated with respect. But, we still need to prove that ficlets is worth the effort and need to make money, so we have to have ads somewhere. We’re throwing around other ideas for advertising, but none of those plans include ads on your stories, and they would all be related to new features. We have all the ads we’re going to for the foreseeable future.
