Comments on 'An Unreasonable Request'

Her smile was contagious. I couldn't help but return the brilliant expression ten fold.

As the hot water drowned her teabag, she looked up at me with the bright green eyes that I had loved for so very long.

"Jamie, I need help." Her voice was honey on buttered toast, the sweetness almost too much to bare as I continued making our drinks.

"With?" I asked. "You know I'd do anything for you." I removed the cream from the refrigerator and set it in front of her.

She shifted in her chair uncomfortably, "I need to kill someone."

I dropped the dish holding the sugar, neglecting to watch it meet its fate on the tile floor and stared at her, unbelieving.

"You dropped the sugar."

"I know, I dropped the sugar." I snapped back with a hint of frustration. "You want me to _what_?"

"Kill someone. Someone that I know means a lot to you." She took the teaspoon and swirled the cream around the fragile porcelain cup.

I shook my head as I took a seat next to her. "Who? _Why_?"

"Me."
