While I was pondering over such complex matters as nom de plumes, Serge Gainsbourg's, _Comic Strip_ ended and was soon preceeded by Nouvelle Vague's self titled album.

Nouvelle Vague...that sounds kinda deck.
No wait, you can't be one of those cliche idiots who names themself after a band!
And then, I glanced over my desk, and what do I see?

Brigitte Vague...hmm.
Nouvelle Bardot...kinda catchy...
So, I type it in.
Not more than a day later, when I was a wee bit less delusional that I realize that Nouvelle translates as "news".
News Bardot? How stupid.
Whatever. Masculine would be ‘nouveau’. ‘The News’ would be, in French, ‘Les Nouvelles’. See, your cute, catchy name actually does translate correctly to ‘New Bardot’, which I would acclaim as terribly accurate were I to be flirtatious.
