  <title>Comments on 'The Alzheimer's Patient'</title>
<subtitle>Mavis had Alzheimer's ten years now. She lived in a nursing home. Her husband of 54 years visited her everyday. Their children and grandchildren visited on weekends.
Mavis didn't recognize her husband Martin anymore, she saw him as no more than a caretaker, forcing pills upon her, telling her what to do as if she were a little girl.
Mavis saw herself as a young woman of twenty. So it was only natural that when Albert came to the home as a patient a few weeks ago, she fell head over heels in love with him.
Mavis and Albert spent much time together sitting at a table in the lunch room, talking and dancing, singing together as if they were dating.
Martin was strangely happy that Mavis had perked up these past few weeks. He knew Albert was the reason.
Albert was so like Martin in many ways, it was understandable that Mavis would fall for him
Martin was not jealous of their relationship, but happy that his beloved wife was once again content, more the woman he fell in love with all those years ago.</subtitle>

Odd person with a fetish for the memory impaired or just being nice to the old lady? So many questions! But lovely little story of true, selfless love.&lt;br /&gt;LoA&lt;/p&gt;</content>
