"Where did you work?" she tried, venturing still.
"Well, I actually started over in this dimension, working for a company named OIM. Funny, actually, I've never noticed every company here is called OIM. Anyway, I was transported to your Earth after I was...well, you know." Steve self-consciously scratched his beak with a paw. "And you?"
"Actually, I quit my job to help Seth on his camping trip test runs. I _was_ hoping his job would help support us, but...well, it seems it almost got us into this mess."
"No, his being born in the Stratus Dimension 354X did that," Steve said, as if it cleared everything up.
