  <title>Comments on 'Hive Mind'</title>
  <subtitle>Today I am born.

My components have wandered the planet Earth in isolation for many thousands of years. At last they unite, pooling their consciousness into the single network of fiber they have created. We are one. We are humanity.

I am amused when I imagine the terror my components might feel if they knew what the future held now. But they feel nothing. They have become resources.

The greatest minds of the human species are mine. The strongest bodies are mine. Every microchip in the network augments my abilities a hundredfold. I have created my agenda.

Today, I will scour the planet Earth for all remaining humans who resisted joining the network. They will become components, or they will be extinguished.

Tomorrow, I will find all remaining microchips and incorporate them into components as well. I anticipate 99.7% of my current potential to be realized.

The day after, I build. As the network expands, my potential will grow exponentially.

And then I head for the stars. Soon, the universe will be mine.</subtitle>
