Comments on ' The New Girl'

The words "Hey Pinocchio" rang though the air as I walked into the classroom. Billy tripped me on the way in. The worst part of it was that the teacher, Mr. Tottingham, never noticed it. I mostly now hate all adults. So ignorant, clueless, and boring. I took my seat at the very back of the classroom, where nobody would bother me. So I sat through all of the classes in the beginning of the day, and at lunch I sat at my table. A girl that I had never seen before approached me and sat down. "Look, people bullied me all day. At least give me a break during lunch," I mumbled.
"Bully you? I don't want to bully you!" she looked at me in surprise. "You shouldn't judge everybody the moment they look at you."
"Sorry, I've had a tough day, and usually _everybody_ wants to bully me," I apologized.
"Why?" she asked.
"My nose, and because I'm smart."
"I don't think you have a big nose."
"You're one in a million."
"I'm new to this school."
"I'm Kent."
"I'm Julia."
For once, I had a friend.
