Comments on 'Watch For Falling Books (II)'

I walked down the hall. Halfway back to my apartment, I could hear Robert and Jaime. Jaime was laughing as Robert make fun of Will. And with each comment, I got more and more pissed off.

I slammed open the door to my apartment so hard, the doorknob dug into the drywall. I'd have to pay to fix that, but I didn't care. "Get the fuck out!" I yelled.

Robert and Jaime couldn't have looked more shocked if I'd hit them with a bat.

"What..." Jaime began.

"Don't," I warned her. "Don't say anything. Just pack up your stuff and leave."

Robert tried shrugging it off. "Come on. Lighten up. Will's just being a pansy."

That was it. Robert was my friend, but Will and I had been best friends since we were five. I grabbed Robert's books, shoved them in his bag, and threw them off my balcony.

"What the hell?!" he yelled, and ran to the railing. Just as he got there, I heard the crash. His bag had dropped five stories.

Right through the windshield of his new BMW.

If I hadn't laughed, he probably wouldn't have hit me.
