I stayed with Wes in her bedroom for the rest of the night. We didn't say much. I just stayed with her.
"Okay," I told her, "it's about midnight. You should probably get some sleep." She nodded, and went to the bathroom connected to her bedroom.
I went over to the door, but stoped to listen before opening it. I heard Nick, Joe, and Kevin talking quietly, secretively.
"I really like her," I heard Nick whisper, "but I don't know how to tell her."
"Just go up to her and tell her!" exclaimed Kevin.
"I know! But, I've never felt this way about a girl before," Nick was talking again, "she's so...amazing."
My heart stopped. Like a fool, my hand slipped and pushed the door open. I pretended not to have heard a thing.
Nick jumped when he heard the door creak. All three boys looked at me.
"What have you been talking about?" I asked.
"Nothing," Nick jumped in.
