<title>Comments on 'Of Courage and Umbrellas'</title>
<subtitle>I carry along an umbrella everywhere I go. Not because I'm hoping, or apprehending rain, but because I feel naked without it.

Sometimes people tell me it's OCD. Others say it's ridiculous to carry it around.

But I tell people it's like courage. You may not be hoping for a chance to show your courage, and you may not think you'll need it...

But it's always a good thing to have around. </subtitle>

Kind of makes me think of, in general, the things and ideas we come up with to explain or rationalize our own behavior. Personally, I think a nice umbrella can look quite dapper.
