He looked at me, flashed a huge, false smile and poked his nose back into his menu. The boy who had been staring at Amanda got up, and walked toward our table. "Hey," he said in a sweet, soothing voice, to Amanda, "I'm Charlie, and you are...Oh, sorry. Obviously, you're an angel."
