Me: It was just a joke. Him: It wasn't funny. Me: Neither was threatening to dunk me in the water. He frowned. Him: True, I guess. But you made me feel guilty. Me: You terrified me. He grinned. Him: So are we even? Me: Yes. I kissed him again, but he broke away. Him: Wait a minute. Me: What? Him: So I didn't really hurt you? Me: No... Him: So I didn't break my promise... I understood what he was getting at. Me: You're ridiculous. You could just ask; you know that? You don't have to con me into it. He grinned.
