Comments on 'Monkey See, Man Do'

The monkeys told me I'd find you here. They always get things like that right, you know that. What with their infinite numbers, each with its own little typewriter... you know they always get to the answer eventually. A simple application of quantum statistical analysis, and it's easy to determine which report is the accurate one.

But you knew that already. You knew I'd find you. You came here, sat down at your favorite table, ordered your white chocolate half-decaf mocha no whip... and you waited.

So here I am. I followed the clues, I asked the monkeys, and here I am. You must have known I would follow, so you must have wanted me here.

So what is it, then? What could be worth us finally catching up with you? Answer quickly, because I have to know... and once They have taken you in, we both know I'll never get another chance to ask.

Thanks for the feedback! I started with no real “intent” for what was going on (I just found that particular “inspiration” hilarious) and as I wrote it made me think of the whole “infinite monkeys with infinite typewriters would eventually come up with the works of Shakespeare” thing). I’m glad you enjoyed reading it though! I’d actually love to add more to this strange world… is it taboo to write pre/sequels to your own stuff here on Ficlets? :)
