Comments on 'Bob May Be In Trouble'

Tim looked down at Bob, “what the hell do we do now?” Kneeling to check on his passed out roommate, Tim continued “this is not good. Not good at all man. Damn!”

“Do you have any rope?” Greg moved slowly toward Tim and a fallen Bob.

“Yeah, in... Wait, you want to tie him up?” Tim’s voice cracked, wincing at the sound of it. “This has already gone way too far. I didn’t sign on for this shit.” Tim stood up meeting Greg face to face. “Bob was not to be hurt, that was the deal.”

“You said he wouldn’t be home until 6, that was part of the deal too, remember? He changed the deal by walking in on us. Now… about that rope.” Greg didn’t move. His eyes bearing down on Tim from his six foot, three inch frame. With such an imposing figure, Greg was used to getting what he wanted with few questions.

“I’ll go get some rope, but we’re not going to hurt him.” Tim could see that arguing this point was useless.

“We’re not going to hurt him.” As Tim walked outside Greg stood over Bob. “No, _we’re_ not going hurt anyone.”

I notice that with some stories I’m having a difficult time getting exactly what I want across in such a limited capacity whereas others work really well. This one was a little difficult, but I feel like I’m getting better.
I think my biggest hurdle is the complete and utter lack of talent.
