Fog unusually thick the past 2 days. Everything has a strange 'aura' to it, no doubt from the fog. Every once in a while there is a slight breeze. You can see slight drifting of the fog out by the stable.
Catherine had a 'fit' last night. She woke up screaming Daniel's name and something about 'ghost snakes.' She's obviously delusional and distraught over the whole ordeal. Daniel was our only son and a pure angel at that. I find myself breaking down and crying from time to time.
Yesterday, I had to go fix the water line at the brook. No doubt an animal kicked the pipe and dislodged it from the filter. What was strange was when I went to fix it, I could swear the temperature dropped 10 or 20 degrees about 30 feet from the thicket where the hole is where Daniel fell in. I probably wouldn't have noticed it except it was such an abrupt change, like when stepping into a cold, icy rain.
No doubt it was just my imagination plus the light stroll up to the brook plus all the dampness from the fog.
