Comments on 'March 16' Still foggy as all get-out. The thickness varies throughout the day. At times I can see to the stable and at others I can't see past the railing on the porch. All the dampness is making every board swell. Walked down the road a ways. Still too muddy to attempt a trip into town. Nearly lost my boot when I stepped into a deep puddle. Had to pull my foot out then pull the boot out. If I try and ride Moses, he'll likely get stuck and possibly break a leg. Catherine continues to suffer 'fits,' during the day and at night. She usually starts by screaming and calling for Daniel. It only lasts for a few minutes but just an hour ago, it lasted a good 20 minutes. She tried to run out the back but I was able to stop her in time. After I held her down she returned to her usual state of staring blankly at nothing. I'm beginning to fear the worst - that she may never return to me. Just tried to make some tea but the water's out. Animal must have kicked the pipe again.
