<title>Comments on 'Feed the Hand That Bites'</title>
<subtitle>It had to be the strangest form of life in the entire universe, at least it was the strangest that Harvey had every found in all his years as an exo-biologist. It looked, for the world like a severed human hand but it was one of the nastiest and cunning predators anywhere. To Harvey it proved two things: a) God existed, b) he had a very sick sense of humor.

It methods were simple, find something that a humanoid life form would be interested in, latch on and play dead. When the unwilling victim came it to collect it's prize, dose them with a powerful neurotoxin, then dine at leisure.

Instantly Harvey knew it had a purpose, finally a way to rid himself of that fat, harpy of a wife he'd married!

It was near impossible to smuggle a female back to the colony, harder still to get that huge diamond ring on it's finger.

Now where to put it where the wench would easily find it? &amp;quot;I know the mailbox!&amp;quot;</subtitle>

<content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Ok, this story came to me in the shower. First I had the title then the rest filled itself in. By the time I realized that it was a take on Will Hindmarch&amp;#8217;s &amp;#8220;A Loaded Gun in the Mailbox&amp;#8221; I was already invested in the story. Anyway I decided to just go for it and make a direct parody. I hope Will doesn&amp;#8217;t mind.&lt;/p&gt;</content>
