Comments on 'The Take'As the couple exited the costume store, they celebrated like jubilant eleven-year-old boys who'd _just_ discovered their first _Playboy_. Jared high-fived Britney and she kissed him before hopping into the car.
As they pulled into traffic, they saw flashing lights. A squad car pulled into the parking lot, probably to investigate the phone call.
"Escaped in the nick of time," Britney gushed. "Great idea to have him erase the security tapes." She grabbed the bag and started counting the money, organizing it by denomination as she went.
"So how much did we take in?" he asked impatiently.
"Four maybe five," she replied, counting.
"Five thousand dollars!" he screamed excitedly.
"It's a stinking costume shop, Jared. Do you really think they take in that much in a day? Five _hundred_ dollars. I guess that puts us up to what forty-three hundred?"
"Did you get the leisure suit and the fake fro?" he asked.
"My bad, I forgot.
