  <title>Comments on 'The Comprehensive (Compressed) Guide to Middle School Life, No. 1: Introduction'</title>
  <subtitle>So. You're a middle schooler. Perhaps you're even a middle-aged man, despondent about your addiction to ficlets and that nasty onion smell you can't get rid of.

Either way, actual middle schooler or middle-aged man trying to regain his youth, you've come to the right place. This is a comprehensive (yet compressed) guide to the operations of the middle school infrastructure, both social and educational (mostly social, like middle school itself), written by one who is in the mix right now.

Now, there are two main classes in the middle school ecosystem: 1) sports players and 2) those who can get a grounded college degree. No, no, nevermind - there are far more classes. To name a few:

*Emo* - a sub-branch of the species Goth, which spawns from Punk, all of which collectively form &amp;quot;Rebel.&amp;quot;

*Dumb Blondes* - Generally speaking, one doesn't have to be blonde to be a &amp;quot;dumb blonde.&amp;quot; These are mainly the ones who get by on their money, looks - but not brains. &amp;quot;What's the first president's name again?&amp;quot;</subtitle>
