_I wasn't thinking when I ignored the stop sign on the intersection of *Elm St.* and *Skyway Ave.* speeding past houses. But then it hit me, quite literally. It was a red Ford Explorer that was coming out of an Gulf gas station. It too was speeding, and hit me on the driver's side. Then all went blank..._ I woke up, a thin line of sweat had formed above my lip. The sheets were tangled in my legs, and the clock on my dresser said *8:04*. Sun poured through the window, giving the room a sort of cozy feel. I could smell bacon in the air. Downstairs, someone was cooking breakfast, I could hear the sizzling of the fryingpan. &quot;Hey Grandma,&quot; I said, then hesitated. Grandma died two years ago. I thought about the possibility of another nightmare, quickly deciding that it was. After breakfast, I went outside to walk to school. Was it just me, or did the population of Clifton drop before my eyes. Then I realized that it wasn't a nightmare.
