Comments on 'Journey'

The bear revealed great, foot-long fangs and gave a great crackling roar that shook the ground. The fire burning in it's eyes and up it's head had turned a deep red.

The wooden bear stood almost twice as high as a normal grizzly bear would stand at about twenty feet.

"_He is not capable of much more. Transforming is quite a feet for him._" The scarecrow explained.

The bear gave a trembling growl and folded back into the tiny robin. I smiled.

"Thanks again." I said. "But why give me this?"

"_You are going to embark on a journey, and i will not always be there for you._" The Wooden man said in a matter-of-fact way.

"Why?" I asked.

"_My life force is running out, I will have to be dormant for a while on my post. you must become stronger while I am gone, so you must do as I say._"

"No."

"_YOU MUST_" He said strongly.

I sighed. "Fine."

"_Follow the path._" The Wooden Man said. "I will see you in three years, Addison._"

Wooden pillars sprouted in the field forming a path, and the scarecrow was gone.
