Comments on '"Copper" is Kinda Cool'

The car ride was short and uneventful. The engine rattled a little like it always did when it stopped, the brakes squeaked like they always did when pressed, and the window quivered frighteningly like it always has when the door was shut.

As the rows of bland, fluorescent-lighted aisles flashed by, I pontificated on a few things (I heard someone say that that day in school…I hope it wasn't a teacher. Either way, it's a cool word). My name, to be specific. I'd never had a problem with my name. I actually thought it was kinda cool to be so unique right down to the name - Copernius - and I could stand a few jokes. And some girls once told me the name Copper sounded oddly attractive.

Whatever. Girls weren't really what I was looking for anyway.

But, somehow, that's what I found as I rounded the corner into the bread aisle and straight into a softish body.

Loved that second-to-last line…such a typical sort of attitude to take, to soften the hurt of being lonely. And funny last bit too, really. Solid stuff.
