Comments on 'Dinner at the Diner (Out of Order)'

"Happy Anniversary babe." Stu, passed the small crudely wrapped package across to Rachel.

"Oh Stu you remembered!" She squealed and grabbed at the package. Before unwrapping it she reached into a bag by her feet and pulled a delicately wrapped package of her own, it was blue paper, Stu's favourite colour. "Lets open them together."

Stu unwrapped the package it to find a rare vinyl by _Godspeed You! Black Emperor_ and what's more it was singed by at least 5 of the members. Stu was gobsmacked, this must have taken time and effort to track down and Rachel was a busy person.

"Oh Stu, this ring is gorgeous."

"I hope you don't want to take it back, because it's my Great-Aunts, left to me in her will for some reason."

"Wow Stu, to think I just got you that cd thingy."

"No babe, I love this, it's amazing." Stu looked at his watch. "Oh no."

"What is it honey?"

I'm really sorry babe but I gotta split, I'll explain tomorrow, love you." He kissed a confused Rachel on the cheek and left The Diner.

I don’t know, it’s just the way my mind works, always looking for a way to ruin the surprise.
In any case, another great entry. This really sets up some nice character development.
