Comments on 'Numb'

What could he have done? He was so numb that even the tears would not, could not, fall. There was no logic to it. How could someone become so cold that even when the sun shone brightly, a rain seemed to overcome. Emotions could only be described as absent and carelessness had become a habit. His spirit was broken, just like his heart, and he was unable to fix them. Had the pain been to much to bear, or had it simply become so routine that he could feel nothing else? The only thing he knew was that he wanted, even needed, to feel something.

I really like this.. I went through the same phase when my dad died. But I got over eventually… not quite sure how.
The only thing I could think of is maybe saying “I” instead of “he,” just because it sounds more direct.
But that’s just me. It’s your writing piece. Again, nice job!
