"Does this hurt you?" Jonny asked me as he tightened his grip on my hips. I looked up at him, batted my eyes, and said, "No." He turned me around and tried to pull me into a hug, but i slipped out of his grasp and flounced off into the tall grass. "I'm going to find you!" he yelled after me. When I heard his laughter, as I knew I would, I ran behind a tree and layed down in the shade. He stealthly crept up to me and practically crushed me when he yelled, "TIMBER!!!" and fell over. I found his hand and laced my fingers between his. I loved times like these, where it was just us. Where we had no need to fill up the quiet with idylic chit-chat.

That was one of my favorite things about him. That and his eyes. They were beautiful. A soft green with hints of gold, blue and black flecks in them. They used to be mysterious. With every blink, I saw something new and inviting.

_RING!!_ _RING!!_
I stared at the phone in my hand. It had jerked me back to reality and I was no longer with Jonny.

He was in Iraq.
