Comments on 'Morals'

“Beka?” Zeke sprang to his feet and hugged her. “I thought you were gone forever.”

Beka pulled him into her. She needed to feel him against her. “I missed you.”

Zeke nodded. “I missed you too but … how are you here? What about the deal?”

“Wes called everything off because I annoy him.” She grinned.

“Yeah, you’re good at that.” Zeke muttered then looked at her expression. “I’m just kidding. You’re not annoying to me. You’re sweet and you’re cute and … you’re mine.” He pulled her in for a kiss then realized they weren’t alone anymore. “Master Jone.”

Master Jone walked toward them and shook their hands. “I’m proud to say that this mission was a success and we can go fully back into our land.”

Zeke raised and eyebrow. “Fully?”

“Yes, fully. You see, you two completed the mission.”

“But we’re back where we started.” Zeke pressed on.

“No, the main part of the mission was getting along with each other.” This time Beka looked toward Zeke, laughing.

“You and your silly morals, Master Jone.” Beka giggled.
