Burtininkas narrowed his eyes at Wednesday. &quot;Yes, Wednesday,&quot; he practically snarled, &quot;I'm going to be out for tonight. Behave yourself.&quot; It was as if he was admonishing a child. Wednesday raised her eyebrows. She didn't even pretend to be smooth or secretive anymore. Burt was just becoming vicious, nearly mad from his renewed paranoia in Wednesday. &quot;Of course, Burtininkas,&quot; she growled. He grabbed his spectacles and marched out the door. Wednesday noticed this little fact about the spectacles. She would get to the bottom of it. _Meanwhile,_ she thought. She leaped over to Burt's desk and jiggled the handle on one of the drawers. Locked, of course. She hadn't expected anything else. Wednesday let out a grunt and a savage kick at the handle. It burst open. She smiled and sifted through the documents inside.
