DOGScare Me JK's Stories

*dedications*

i dedicate all this to 2 of my besties. stephanie and katelyn. the two people who i don't get to see every day. until high school or the first week of august. yay i'm so excited for high school. wow just saying high school is kind of scary. and colorado will be so much fun. one week of me and katelyn doing nothing but scoping out hot guys playing baseball who are staying at the same resort and meeting them and hanging out with them in the resort's lounge - just like last year. nothing will compare to last year when we met aaron, curtis, andrew santa lol, jake, and the rest of the less important people on that team who didnt play such important roles during the trip lol. live and let love! ♥

live life to the fullest because you never know what might happen next. you could even change it.
but don't worry about it being the end of the world today because its already tomorrow in australia
=D

so who likes to hear about peoples extremely weird and random dreams? well i do. so i am going to tell you one dream that was really weird that i had the other night. now when i start it dont get the wrong idea about the dream or my mind... just read the whole thing...
so i was one of like twenty or so girls all lined up. and this gay guy was judging on shaved legs. and so i had missed a teeny little part around the ankles and so he comes up to me and he is like this guy who wears stylish glasses and he is skinny and he dresses stylishly in black and he has black hair and a goatee. you know? lol so he comes up to me and he sees that i missed a teeny little part around the ankles and he says "next time you shave your legs... FOCUS!" and then i woke up... lol ya... so send me a note if you want and tell me about your weirdest dream. i love getting comments and notes so keep me posted!☺

btw... my new massage chair in my room rules over all... hells yeah! ♥

also... i was thinking recently that i might get a myspace. ya sure pretty much everyone in my class has had one for like the past three years or so but i always hated the idea of it. heres why... i always used to think that myspace was just a waste of time because pretty much everything that you can do on myspace is pretty much everything that you can do on the internet itself except all in different places instead of just one big place which would be myspace. so the other night i started taking lots of random conceited photos on my camera of myself. and i was like wow these are really cute and i was wishing people could see them so then it occurred to me... MySpace! so ya i might start one up...

so ya my obsession with joe jonas is still going strong. it only just really started right before camp rock which was really great timing for me but anyway. i pinned up 6 mini posters of him all in a row and it takes up my entire bulletin board. its really hot. then i got this really hot poster of him where he has shorter hair which looks like really good and hes wearing a light blue collared button down shirt and hes pulled up the cuffs and the sleeves and hes popped his collar and hes wearing a white tie. its so hot. i love it. its my favorite yet. so ya bottom line is that joe jonas is a hottie! ♥

also i have decided to start my new _omg_ which is now going to be *_omj_* in honor of joe jonas... haha get it ya i know i am weird and just a wee bit obsessed but thats why people love me! much luv! ♥

so yeah i love to write. what else is there. its a way to express myself when i don't want to say it out loud. my notebook of secrets that only i can read and only i can create. writing is a purpose in my life for many reasons other than just pleasure. its a passion and a sickness. its an addiction and i need help but i wont get it.

*random quotes*

if dino was a velociraptor he would have eaten the flintstones

the future doesnt lie ahead of you waiting to happen... it lies deep inside of you waiting to be discovered

you dont know what it is but its something and you need to know what it is if its anything... yeah i have been there.

*lyrics i am absolutely in love with right now...*
"i probably shouldnt say this but at times i get so scared when i think about the previous relationship we shared. it was awesome but we lost its not possible for me not to care and now were standing in the rain and nothings ever gonna change until youre here my dear..."

*songs i am absolutely in love with right now...*
viva la vida by coldplay
when i grow up by pussycat dolls
7 things by miley cyrus
play my music by jonas brothers (joe ♥)
shake it by metro station
burnin up by jonas brothers (joe ♥)

*ficlets series*
this is my first _real_ series
its still in progress and i call it...
The Soundtrack to My Life series
i call it this because each title of each part of the story is the title of a song. you may not know every song but trust me i know they are all songs because i have all of them on my ipod. its about a girl who starts off with a breakup and then goes back in time to tell about everything that led up to that breakup.

the Colorado series
ya its a new series and its based on true events that happened during my summer vacation of 2007 whoo!
lol anyway its about this girl who is going to colorado for her brothers baseball tournament and she is going up there with her family and some of her friends who have brothers on the team are going up there too so they will all hang out and then they meet some guys and drama unfolds.... stay tuned

my other two series are both on major hiatus but i will finish them - eventually.
the first part of one of them is called Just The Beginning
the first part of the other one is called Lyking Jared

My brother and my dad had already arrived at the resort about an hour before us thanks to the help of us driving mistakenly into Wyoming for about five minutes. There’s a Christmas story for you.
I dropped my bags all onto the floor beside the bed by the window.
I pushed the window up and let the breeze flow through the screen. I heard muffled cries of some of the boys that had already arrived or that were just arriving. A couple of the boys wouldn’t even be there until the next morning. I guess it was just as well, though, so that I could get some peace and quiet after that 16 hour car drive. Good Lord.
My brother and his friends would probably drop within the hour, too, though considering the fact that they also had just endured a 16 hour car drive from California to Colorado.
I took this all in and fell onto my bed comfortably. Ah, peace and quiet at last.
BOOM !
And yet…

There was a crash and a bright light and like a thousand tiny little beads of water. The windshield wipers swiped back and forth, back and forth. I was just thankful that we were just driving into the parking lot of the resort. By the time the rest of us would be getting here, it would be like a hurricane for us thanks to where we had driven from which was our hometown in the desert.
I took out my suitcase, backpack, and purse and made my way up to our room. I walked up three flights of stairs just to make it to the door. That was totally new to me since of where I live which I like to call Earthquake Central, we don’t have stairs in my house.
I reached the door and was let in by my friend’s mom thanks to the glorious little card called a room key. The light on the door flashed green and the door opened.
Just then, a huge crash of thunder boomed once again as I stepped across the threshold.
Already I could tell that this week long trip was going to be no walk in the park for me.

“You don’t know about this,” he said as he pulled up the long sleeve on his left arm and then I saw it.
That’s why he wears long sleeves. I thought.
I shuddered slightly seeing all the white scars and scrapes all up and down his arm.
“What is this? I mean, why? Why did you?” I stuttered slightly.
“This…” he gestured to his arm again, “is how much I cared.”
I suddenly started to feel very guilty. I realized then that I wasn’t the only one who had been hurt in the relationship. Maybe he hadn’t been affected in the same way, but still.
It even hurt now to be looking at this one whole year later after it had all happened.
“How long has it been like this for?” I asked.
“It started pretty much during last summer right after…” his voice trailed off. I nodded listening to him.
There was an awkward silence again.
“Do you still?” I asked.
“No,” he said.
Silence.
But he took a couple of steps closer to me and kissed me.
This time, though, compared to the last time he’d kissed me, it was okay.

Josh had come to get me after his game and I had locked up the snack bar on the way out since Mallory had already left the park to go home.
We were just walking around and talking casually about school and our families, but then the conversation was totally turned around.
“So are you going to Lucy Stevens’ end of school party this year?” he asked. It had totally slipped my mind that school was almost over and then I remembered last year’s party at Lucy’s house…

I felt myself catch my breath suddenly, “I think I have to go.”
“No, wait! I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have brought it up!” Josh said.
“You’re not sorry. You didn’t even care after I left that night!” I cried and then glanced around until my eyes landed on Josh’s arm. I noticed he was wearing long sleeves again.
“I did care,” he told me after an awkward silence, “if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have…”
I cut him off, “Wouldn’t have what? Last time, he wanted to talk and now he didn’t.
Realizing I may have made a mistake in coming after him, I turned around and sighed.
“Wait!” Josh said quickly before I could walk out of earshot.
I turned around slowly, “What?”
This whole charade was getting a little annoying.
“Let’s get together after you’re done.

“Nice,” he said as he continued to walk down the stairs.
I, meanwhile blushing as red as could be, stumbled to get back up.
The other girls were laughing, but so was I so it was all good. The guy left the vicinity of the staircase of shame and we continued for a little while longer to pretend that we were staying there.
I guess that was the moment everything really started. The minute we saw that guy, things changed for the four of us. We hadn’t been hanging out that long all together for things to change so drastically, but things did.

Later that night, we were in one of our rooms just hanging out. Tina had gone back to her room quickly to get a spare room key before the rest of her family had left the room.
Once she came back, she had a strange expression upon her face.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Nothing. There were just some guys down there and they were like staring at me and asking if I wanted to go play basketball with them…” Tina told us.
Then I said something I thought I never would have…

It started to rain slightly. Not hard. But enough to feel little drops of water on your arm or face every now and then. We strolled casually into some building that none of the team’s families were staying in and we started down the stairs to the underneath part of the rooms.
It was sort of dingy down there though and we started cracking up when we opened up a door that led to what looked like an abandoned laundry room. We walked quickly back up the stairs. We were back on the ground level. So we decided to check out the upstairs.
I was wearing Sevens jeans and granted they were a little long on me, but they were really cute. Plus the fact, so I wouldn’t trip on the hem of the jeans, I was wearing high wedges. You would think that I would have tripped even in the high wedges, but I hadn’t…yet.
As we were going quickly up the steps, some guy started to come down the steps. Just as he was passing us, I tripped, falling forward and hitting my shin on the edge of the step…hard.
And the guy saw it all…

Colorado part 13: One Idea of Fun...

“Tina’s here?!” I exclaim-asked.
“Yeah, she got here like right before we did,” Kacie said.
“Well, let’s go get her! The more the merrier!” I cried happily.
“Uhm, okay,” Lindsey and Kacie started to follow me as I wandered around to the side of the room building aimlessly.
“Wait, where’s her room?” I asked suddenly.
They smiled and we found it after seeing that it was open and her family was in there.
“Hey, Tina, come out with us. We’re just gonna go to the lounge,” I told her across the threshold.

She received permission and suddenly, there were four of us. We hung out and laughed and talked all day. We walked around the resort and hung out in the lounge until strangers would somewhat invade our space.

Then an idea came to me, “Let’s walk through a different building. Like one of the buildings none of us are staying in. Let’s just walk up and down the stairs and pretend we’re staying there. Come on. It’ll be fun.”
Fun was an understatement to what was about to happen to the four of us…

She had already seen me pulling in and so we both greeted each other with a huge hug and tons of squealing.
It must have been rather amusing to others to watch this childish behavior, but we could have cared less. We were both so excited about this trip. We had been talking about it forever. Just the two of us. That’s when I remembered Lindsey.

Kacie put her bags away and came back outside. Lindsey and I were just lingering, waiting for Kacie to come meet us.
This might be a tad bit awkward, I thought to myself.
Kacie stepped out of her room which was right at the front of the building and was now standing with us.
There was a couple seconds of silence.
“So, Kacie, you know Lindsey obviously,” I said.
Thankfully, that was all I had to say because nothing was awkward after that.
We all hung out for about an hour just walking around and hanging out in the lounge.
Then Kacie brought up that the Harrises had arrived, too.

My newly found friendship with Lindsey proved to be successful. The next day, all of the boys who were already in town wanted to see the new Harry Potter movie and Lindsey and I both wanted to see it, too.

We went to the theater which was like the smallest one that I had ever seen. It had like two movies playing and that was it. During the movie, I felt like I had seen it alreay as it played in front of me for the first time. It was weird. Almost like deja vu.

After the movie, we headed back for the resort. Once we pulled into the parking lot outside our room building, I was thrilled to see someone unloading bags out of what was clearly a rental car… Kacie.

What felt like a million stupid things to be thinking about the situation started running through my mind as she held the door open.
Did she even know who I was? Was she disappointed I came over? Was she expecting someone else? Is someone else already hanging out with her?
“Hey!” she seemed genuinely happy to see me.
“Hi,” I said somewhat cautiously as she opened the door wider.
I noticed then how much taller I thought she was than me, but then I looked down and saw how low the ground was from the threshold.
“Come in,” she said as she turned around and walked back to where she was sitting. I followed her inside and closed the door behind me.
She was sitting on the couch in the TV room area of their room. Their room, I noticed straight away, was much smaller than ours. I sat down on the comfortable chair and it turned out we started talking and we had a lot in common from favorite books to TV shows to likes and dislikes. I felt like I had known her for like ever. She seemed like a truly genuine person.

The moments pass. I realize I feel normal. He walks into a room and I no longer feel weird feelings. Things have gone back to normal. Everything’s just casual. We’re just friends.

I’m able to tell him things without feeling completely self-conscious about myself. I can be myself inside and out. I realize the relationship as being just friends was the one I wanted all along.

I don’t even care that he likes someone else right now. There’s no anger or jealousy. Nothing. And it feels good.

I’m happy with the situation. I’m happy for him as my friend. But I’m not completely happy for myself.

I just want someone to like me. I don’t want him – for once! I want someone else… If only he wanted me back…

I was standing quietly outside the door. I could hardly breathe. I didn’t know why I was making such a big deal out of this, though. The only difference, really, between Lindsey and I were two birthdays. That was it so why was I intimidated to knock on the door to go hang out with her.
You don’t have to do this, Vanessa. I told myself.
I sighed. Of course I had to this. If I didn’t, it would look stupid. I was already here so what the heck, right?
I took a deep breath. I curled my fingers into a fist and went to knock, but pulled back before following through.
I was even being self-conscious about how I was going to knock on the door.
Okay, get a hold of yourself! I scolded to myself inside my head.
I recurled my fingers into another fist and this time I knocked while holding my breath and closing my eyes. Wow, I was being retarded about this.
Five seconds had gone by and she hadn’t answered the door yet.
Ten seconds. I was about to just turn around and leave, but then… Lindsey opened the door.
