This one isn’t easy. Each consecutive sentence must be one word longer than the previous sentence. You can start with as many words as you like but you must add only one more word for each sentence. Here’s mine:

Fuck. He’s back. I knew it. I fucking KNEW it! He wouldn’t stay gone forever. So what do I do now? I hung up the cape long ago. I don’t think I even fit those tights. Maybe one of the other heroes can do it. I am getting too old for this sort of thing. But these kids flying around today are no match for him. So perhaps it is finally time for the triumphant return of MANTASTIC !

I’ve been here before. My first real memory of this place was of Katie dumping me. I know I’d been here before that, but that’s the first memory that stuck. I came down here a week after that and I swear I could still see her right there.
“I love you.”
She just stared at me like I was a child or something.
“You can’t love me. You don’t know me.” Now, I’d have a hundred come backs to something like that, but then I hadn’t the slightest clue so I just stood there on the beach.
There’s a feeling of hopelessness when you’re dumped. And that following week, the whole beach felt hopeless. I couldn’t think of anything else. So finally I came up with a solution. I decided to flood the place with memories. Now the beach wasn’t the place Katie dumped me. It was the place I had deep talks with my best friend, the place I first saw Donna smile at me, the place I first saw it snow on the water.
I come down here whenever I can. To remind myself of everything I feel and everything I don’t know. I love this beach.

Don’t touch me. Don’t even breathe too hard. I’d tell you why, but you wouldn’t believe me. You look at me and you see just another person, but you’ve never met anyone like me.

Every day there is less of me no matter how hard I try to maintain myself. Every day I make the wrong movement or touch the wrong thing or maybe it’s as simple as a gust of wind. I just keep thinking one day something will happen and I’ll just get blown away.

I can’t explain what happened to me. I don’t have an origin. It would have been nice if I woke up with powers one day and I could be some sort of hero in this world. Instead, my fate is decided every day bit by tiny bit.

It doesn’t matter how much you care or how much you want to be with me. We can never touch. You can never feel my skin. Some people are psychic or maybe they can stick to walls or even fly, but me? I am nothing at all. I am the Ash Man.

She sleeps in the day. Awakening long enough to get the kids dressed and let him take them to school. She doesn’t eat in the morning. She asks him to hold her. She tries to pretend that it didn’t happen, that the man who holds her is loyal, but she knows. Every time she closes her eyes she can see the two of them together. “If you loved me, how could you do this?” She had asked this question again and again. All he ever said was “I’m sorry. I love you.” She wanted to respond saying, “Yeah, I’m sorry I love you too.”
