Fluffy White Clouds of Popcorn

He opened his eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling of wood. The wooden panels were beginning to rot & the wood had holes where sunlight would peek through. He felt a little sick & when he got up to look around he was terribly off balance. But he felt fine, no fever, no headache. Maybe it wasn’t him seemed to be tilting back & forth, to & fro. As if it were a boat on a sea of rocky waves. After managing to stay upright for a few steps he finally made it to the door. Again it was made of slightly rotten wood that squeaked when it opened. Beyond it was a dark staircase with a door at the top. It smelled of old wet books. Step by step he reached the top & peeked through the keyhole. The sun was bright & shiny & there were 5 things bustling about tying & untying ropes. He waited there for some time & there was a bell, immediately the area cleared out & he stepped out into the open air. Not far away was a railing & after a quick trip on a nail he was able to peeked over the edge &saw fluffy white clouds of popcorn below.

So, Do I Think I can Dance? (Precise Maneuvers challenge)

The red velvet curtain rose along with the sound of a slow song. This dance had to be flawless. The routine starts with me parading around in a display of grace. Each foot landing one after other in the direct spot where they should be.

During a prep for an axel jump I was able to sneak a peek at the judges. Their faces were stone, not one moved. Were they really that unimpressed? I was so bewildered I didn’t even notice the tempo change in the music. Turn after barrel roll after leap they did not move. The 2nd barrel role lasted an hour during which I scanned the audience. The band may have been playing allegro but me and the world were in adagio. There was a minute between each clap. Each hair on my head moved individually. I had to land that jump but I half way through my jump I realized that i was going too far I had to improvise. It was the 144th measure I had to thrust my legs down out of the jump into a back hand spring. By the final measure I was back on cue for my final turn and a final bow.

I swear, teachers have no clue what others are doing therefore making HEdoublehockeysticks for students. I have 5 tests tomorrow! Now here I am studying at 4 in the a.m. in a study session that started at 4 in the p.m. I already studied for 4 classes now finally on to #5 lets see.

The radius x cosine of theta is.. I heard my dad’s alarm clock go off and the door slam. Where was I, oh yes

The radius x cosine of theta is.. There’s another alarm. No it’s the timer in Mrs. Adelae’s math class!!

“Okay 2 minutes left.” she said. Oh man I slept through the test. When I look down at my paper there was 5 problems left. After 30 second I had one to go #22. The radius times the cosine of theta is, umm, is, come on I know this I studied this last night.

There was only one minute left. I could feel my self-getting nervous. My hands got sweaty and I could hear my heart beat. (Yeah that makes it easier to think.) I heard the timer go off and every thing went black. I think my brain exploded from over thinking.

“Just what do you think it is, huh Kathy? We’re wading through a sewer up to our knees.”

“Sorry it’s a standard question. Where are we going anyway?”

“I don’t know. Somewhere safe I hope. It only a matter of time until they figure out where we went.”

After that we trudged along in silence. Every couple of minutes a rat would scamper by with their savage red eyes glistening in the yellow glow from my flashlight.
This place is just as creepy as I expected especially since..

“Watch your step,” said Kathy and I tripped over an old shoe and landed face down in the grime. My flashlight flew out of my hand and landed about ten feet away. Kathy after falling her self helped me up. Mean while, the already small dome of light slowly faded into shadow as the flashlight sank into the muk.

“Well that’s great,” i said looking around to let my eyes readjust to the dark “hey where are you going
Kathy?”

Dear Bret,

Thank you so much for doing this building for me. I have decided on what I wanted. Here is a list

1. I would like it to have 14 sides and be as big as possible

2. The amount of land I have is 53 ft square

3. If you could can you get the price of the concrete?

4. I want the doors and windows to match

I hope that that isn’t too much for you. I’m afraid I don’t know much about the cities restrictions on building. I trust you can do that for me

Signed, Mrs. C

“Look john i have to find all of the heights on my own the lengths of the walls even the angles that they need to be built at this will take forever! Now the city is involved too with all their rules.”

Me and 250 soldiers boarded the trains to the unknown. As the train pulled away the crowd cheered. That is one thing I don’t under stand, why would they cheer as we go to what will probably be our death?

After an hour or so every one was settled. And we were nearing our destination but first we had to head through a small town. When I saw the town out in the distance I walked to the engine room to tell the engineer to keep an eye out for anything suspicious.
Middle of Everywhere (Part 2)

I grew up in the big apple and the plane crashed on the way we were on the way to a school field trip in Florida. now im stranded with them, and it’s not going well. All these people are completely different from each other and hate each other too! So I’m in the middle all the time. I HATE BEING IN THE MIDDLE !!! Here’s how things stand right now moms hates me Angel hates me because I was “stealing her man” and Kyle keeps coming to me because he wants Angel so he hates me for saying there’s nothing I can do.Lastly Dan beats up Kyle on a regular basis.I lied here’s the last thing Dan wants Kimber who happens to be the only one I can stand. So for better or worse they all went their own ways each choosing a region leaving me in the middle…literally.Angel chose the desert to work on her tan,Kyle called the rainforest to study the fauna,Dan took the ocean side to work out,so Kimber had the arctic because that all that was left leaving me in the central clearing to deal with them all.

It was 11:00pm when I entered my single apartment on the 23rd floor over looking mane st. the second the door shut I locked it. The room was silent except for the jingling of the many ID’s hanging from the door. I have obtained many of them over the years. Each one has a different name and photo. You’d never think all those people were me.

After checking that the window was locked, I went over to the closet and took a green box out. By then I was starting to feel drowsy from the days excitement I just brought the box with me to the bathroom. Every thing was blurry and more than usual. I hate color change contacts. That was the first thing I did in there was take them out to let some air get to my green eyes.

Now back to the box. I left it on the counter. When I opened it up there was a new mannequin head for my counter. I placed it next to my sink before taking the long brown wig off. As I took it off my black curly hair poofed up right away from the humidity. Then I heard a crash from downstairs.
