Julie always loved Cherry blossoms. Their tiny blooms speckled with purple. The dark wood of the tree only made it more beautiful. The scent of Cherry blossoms held such a bittersweet memory to her.
Her mother loved Cherry blossoms, and when Julie was a baby she would put some Cherry blossoms around her crib while she slept.
But now her mother was long gone. Her body lying cold in it’s grave, continuing to deteriorate.
That’s why Julie planted a Cherry blossom seed behind her mother’s white marble tombstone. It was her way of telling her mother that their will always be some reminder of her old life.

Before A Darker Shade of Black

Andre pressed his beautiful young wife onto their bed. He felt her hands under his shirt exploring his sculpted body. He tasted her sweet full lips, one hand in her sweet smelling chestnut hair, and the other hand unbuttoning her blouse. He could already feel his body start to harden. It was alway easy for his wife to arouse him.
He grabbed a pillow and put it under her head to make her comfortable. His lips trailed from her mouth, to her neck to her breasts and to her belly button. He pulled off the black mini skirt she was wearing and pulled off her bra. She shrugged off her white blouse, and he was already nude. He found her moist intimate entrance and united their bodies.
She felt wonderful inside, warm, and tight. She had already wrapped her legs around his hips and moaned lowly.
He caressed her flesh with his lips whenever he could. Every thrust that he took inside of her felt better than the last. He couldn’t help but groan either. It was their wedding night, and he liked the feel of her inside.

“The sky here at the academy is beautiful thought”, Rose silently to herself. It was like that sky was a blanket of black velvet with precious jewels sprinkled over it.
It felt so strange to her that these stars that were twinkling so beautifully, could have died thousands of years ago and the light that beamed at her was just a scar of what once was.
Her first day at her new school wasn’t bad. There was little homework to do, and she finished it quickly. Now she could just relax in the tall grass and stare up at the sky.
She felt tempted to close her eyes and rest, but she knew she couldn’t do that. There was a small brook not too far away that churned fresh, clear water. And lavender, and laurels grew around the water source.
This felt like her own little sanctuary. Her own safe place where nobody would bother her. For now, she just stared up at the sky and enjoyed the cool breeze that would occasionally blow into her face.
“All students out of the school report to your dorms.”

A Darker Shade of Black

The sky was a deep shade of crimson. Like the blood that was soaked in the hair of the lifeless body in Andre’s arms. The person in his arms was a woman. She had a pretty face, but it was scathed with lines of red. The usual blush that stained her cheeks were pale. The natural red of her lips was also stolen by death. Tear drops ran down his face, and dropped of his face onto hers.
Scarlett’s emerald eyes had closed forever. He wanted to sob more, but he was so exhausted from his battle. His body started to shake in cold.
The sun had escaped hours ago and he was holding in his arms the cold, dead body of his wife. He was always so protective over her. Not letting an ounce of harm near her. She was his only tie to the world, and now she was gone forever.
Now he would have to live out the rest of his life with this immense guilt on his shoulders of his wife.
She was the only person he ever loved. The only person he truly gave a damn about.
So he laid himself beside her, on the earth and prayed for death.

The Living Ghost

He was an assassin, a hired gun, a bad guy. He killed people; government officials, cheating husbands, all kinds of different people. He wasn’t a cheap killer either. His death contracts were worth hundreds of thousands to millions. He was so good at his job, that all the people he murdered had the look of a natural death.
His steps were silent, even the rustle of clothing. He was like a walking ghost. He changed his name every ten years. Not even the people he killed knew his face.
It wasn’t like anyone cared either. His family had been long dead and he barely had any ties to this world. Unless he impregnated one of his one night stands.
The rain had just stopped pouring. Puddles of water were everywhere. Occasionally he would peer into the water that reflected his handsome features.
He hadn’t aged a day since he “died” 75 years previously.
Although, he often wondered who would be the one to kill him. Or if he’d be the person, the only person, to muster up enough courage to kill himself.

The forest was beautiful, but had a strange eerie aura about it. The tall dark trees cast long shadows, and were barren of it’s leaves. The first snow had not yet fell upon the leaf littered earth yet, but the air held it’s own cold bite to it. Emerald shrubs hovered over the earth, and the sun’s warm rays couldn’t penetrate through the ghost white clouds high up over the forest.
Rose followed the path wearily, every snap of a twig sent a chill through her entire body. But she continued to march on. She didn’t understand why her parents had to send her to some boarding school so far from home.
They announced over the P.A. system that dinner would be at sunset, and it was still only 4 in the afternoon according to her watch that her mother gave her before she left.
She sat down and reflected. The forest was so quiet, which was a characteristic she liked very much because her home in the city was always so noisy.
She liked being by herself, and the tall trees felt like protective brothers to her.

My own little heaven

The sky glowed a warm shade of chardonnay in the autumn dusk. The trees were newly bare of their colorful leaves. Far out in the distance was a looming fog that would soon engulf the land. The air was cool, and still. It felt like nobody was here for miles. I enjoyed the solitude of being isolated. Here by myself, in a far off place away from all the problems of everyday city life. Here I don’t have to worry about somebody breaking into my house.
I often find myself walking through this place. I hear the rustling of the dead leaves from the squirrels gathering food before the long, hard winter. Occasionally I’ll see a moose walk through the wood with it’s large antlers. It’s strange, I’ve always considered them crowns for them. Like they are the Royalty of this quiet sacred place.
I’ve been in this place for so long, and the sun is in an eternal twilight. Which I’ve always loved because it’s like it’s either dawn or sunset. I love those two things very much.
I’m glad I died and went to my own little heaven.
