Kermitgorf: Backstory

Kermitgorf, Kermit being the, ‘it’s not easy being green’ star of Sesame Street, the Muppet Show and countless Muppet movies and singer of The Rainbow Connection. Also recently seen on America’s Got Talent, (but not as much as our hopping friend). And frequent talk show guest.

- gorf spelled backward—frog.

Origin of the name: when I was a little kid, an episode of Sesame Street, our favorite amphibian was in a skit were in the other muppet ( who I don’t recall, not Bert or Ernie), kept getting Kermit The Frog’s name wrong- called him Kermit the grof, Kermit the forg, and my personal favorite …

Kermit the gorf. So I shortened it to Kermitgorf.
and thus I am known throughout the ficlet world.

Kermit of course got increasingly agitated everytime his name was mispronounced. I however, not being a temperamental Star, will answer to Gorf, or Kerm, or Kermie if you know me well enough, LOL

So what’s the story behind Tiggerstripn2? , Officially? , YodaOnCrack? ,THX0477? We all want to know.

So, everyone is still looking for tiggerstripn2 to jump in on the fun. Love the explanation—big Kermit fan here (um, the muppet and the ficleteer, so there). But don’t expect me to call you Kermie any time soon.

Very enlightening. Of course, seeing your name, one would have certain allusions towards our green friend, but it was never confirmed until now. I like it.

sweet. gorf was one of my favorite video games growing up. A bit (okay, really) antiquated now, but actually it’s pretty fun. Easily find it in retro arcades or a mame machine.
