We talked and laughed for the rest of the night. We definitely had a lot more in common than I thought we would have.Suddenly, my pocket started to vibrate. It obviously was my cell phone. “Excuse me for one second,” I said to Nick as I answered the call. I stood up and walked over to the playground. “Hello?” I was praying it wasn’t my mom about to scream at me for being out too late. “Hey, how’s Nick doing?” It was Rose. I could tell she was joking. Which by the way, if you didn’t catch my original thought of how she was going to handle me getting together with Nick tonight, this was it. Laughing, joking around. Typical Rose.
I took a deep breath, making sure he couldn’t hear me.
“He is absolutely amazing. He’s funny, smart, everything I told you I hoped he would be this morning.”
“Wow, he sounds perfect.” She laughed once more.
