Kate blew off the dust of the faded photograph.

“Look at this…” she said, gesturing at Frederick.

He crawled over and frowned. The long search in the attic had culminated to…this? The photo itself, black and white, had a filmy covering of grime over it. After Kate’s persistent fingers rubbed it away, it revealed itself.

It seemed to be a picture of a typewriter, an old rusty model out of focus. The paper in it, however, stood out in sharp relief. The uneven lettering…Kate and Frederick squinted. Kate siezed a magnifying glass from the abandoned crates and shoved it against the picture.

“It looks like a web address,” she said.

“On a typewriter? It’s a black and white photo, it’s too old,” he said, scratching his mop of brown hair.

“I dunno…wait, here: www.lost.eu/68a1a…”

“That’s weird.”

Kate shrugged and pocketed the musty photo. “We’ll log on downstairs, I guess. C’mon.”

He jumped up and followed her, eager to be out of reach of the attic’s tangible shadows.

    Wait, did you guys get my application for the AAAICOF ? Don’t tell me it got lost in the mail. Gosh darn it all! Great, great start to a story, mysterious without being over the top.

    i think AAAICOF should hire some new secretaries as they are NOT doing their job

    this is really good im totally eager to find out now…

    oh please, this is just a scam! a dirty dirty scam! we go to the website to see if it’s real, sign up for whatever, get sucked into a alternate reality where stovohobo rules all, and… well it’s too scary to go on! Oh the horror!
