    I actually know most of this list!

    Andrew Bird sounds like the Pernice Brothers (that means he’s good).

    Dashboard Confessional & Death Cab for Cutie I’ve only recently gotten into, but they’re very melodic.

    The Hush Sound, Muse, Regina Spektor, & Dick Dale and His Del-Tones I must research.

    Paolo Nutini – New Shoes is my favorite of his. Last Request is nice, but Oh, Jenny! – I just don’t think he has the voice for it.

    Arctic Monkeys & Guster I could do without.

    Death Cab For Cutie Rules! My sister loves it and she gave me a shirt with them on it and people kept asking me if i liked them so i would say that i hadn’t ever listened to them but that was embarassing so i listened to some of their songs and now i love them

Check out, if you can, the version of “Pipeline” he recorded with Stevie Ray Vaughn (included on King Of The Surf Guitar: The Best Of Dick Dale & His Del-Tones, a must-have CD), in which Mr. Dale takes the formidable SRV to school (no, I’m not kidding; it’s an amazing track).
