Blood and Emotions

The heart is the center
Of me
It holds my emotions

But like blood
It must circulate
The veins and arteries
Carry blood to and fro
My beating heart
So it won’t overflow

My lips
And fingertips
Carry my emotions from
My constantly replenishing heart
So it does not burst

Words to paper
Breaths to their ears
Paint splashing the canvas
Blood rushing my head
As my world goes upside down

How fragile a heart
An ounce too full
And you’re dead

    This is a very artistic poem, it painted wonderful pictures in my head and I could imagine a scene to every line you wrote.
    Consider replacing the word ‘from’ in the 7th line with ‘fro’ – I think it would match the style of your poem and help it flow.
