    I really don’t like “they” as a gender-neutral pronoun; it just sounds sloppy. Other than that, interesting story.

    Don’t worry about the person before me. They obviously need to lighten up a bit. I personally found it an interesting read and your use of ‘they’ seemed a fine choice as you obviously seemed to want to keep it genderless.

    R_M is famous for being uptight. I love to use “they” as a gender-neutral pronoun, considering the fact that there’s not another one that fits a human. Don’t worry about him. You’re pretty good at the… grotesque(in a good way, I think) descriptions.
