In the beginning, there was mother Earth. She was the ground and the trees and the plants and the sky and the oceans. She possessed great magical powers. Sol, father sun, loved mother earth and watched over her, showering her with lovely rays of sunshine. Together, they conspired to create the Ancients.
There were three women and four men. The first of said women was a veela—a shapeshifter who would soon enjoy luring young men into fairy rings where they are compelled to dance until they die. Her name was Vivianna. She was wild and free and her magic was so powerful that, until Earth taught her how to control it, it would often slip away from her and begin to wreak havoc on everything around her, often causing the tectonic plates to shift and hence causing earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. It is said that her very first laugh was so magical that the air around it didn’t vibrate fast enough to make the sound and instead, her laugh broke into 1,000 pieces and the very first fairy was made.
